Sun and Silt exists to create art that belongs to the land it comes from.

Natural Earth Pigments

I ethically forage natural pigments from the earth and crush them down into silt.

Natural Binder for Watercolours

Once I have prepared my foraged earth pigment, I create a binder out of 100% pure maple syrup, cherry tree sap and thyme oil.

Ethical Packaging

I package each product by reusing cardboard and paper. I also do not ship and only sell locally. Local pickup and local circulation remain part of the mission.

Natural Earth Clay

I use earth clay from Victoria Clay Art to make my multifunctional candle holders.

Beeswax Finish

Once I Bisque fire my clay candle holders and paint them with my natural pigments, I apply a beeswax finish to prevent paint from smudging.

Recycled Paper

I make my own paper for my watercolour paintings out of old paper scraps blended with water.
